Praise Kink

Praise Kink describes arousal that comes from praise. It's not the touch that carries the scene, but the sentence that confirms: You did that well.

The pattern that reliably works in romance unfolds in three steps: danger, protection, recognition. First something happens, then he steps between, and afterward he says she did well. The praise feels like an award because it was earned.

There are two variations. One confirms belonging ("mine"), the other ability ("you're stronger than you think"). The second often hits harder because it works against something the character believes about herself.
